Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly capable, acing our tests for cleaning and taking on different types of floors. Choose models that permit you to select between a variety of modes, self-empty and clean stairs.

A lot of the top models are compatible with smartphones. Find an app that lets you save maps, set schedules, and choose cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It uses lidar to navigate, and create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behavior.

The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which includes linoleum in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was capable of driving close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without any problems. However, it had some difficulty getting down the stairs in one go. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and lifted itself when it reached carpets or rug.

Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills up its water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.

Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. You'll need to wash out the tank that has been contaminated to keep it from becoming clogged. Also, you'll need to clean the swivel wheel and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. But, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other models that require more care.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

This all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a powerful option for cleaning requirements. The robot vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous unique features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it, rather than simply drag a pad across a surface. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.

This robot combination is simple to set up and use, with a simple interface that walks you through the process. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot vacuum reviews cannot reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically emptied or refilled. It comes with a variety of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does well at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that easily picks up all kinds of debris, including the tiny dust particles that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, too, even though it is sometimes hung in the small area mats or rugs that I have in my home (which is something you can reduce by defining a virtual boundary in the app). Its mopping capabilities are also quite good and include a pair of mop heads that can lift and scrub the floor instead of drag the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned with hot water and dried in the basestation as needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. But their new flagship model is packed with impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results and is simple to maintain. This makes it a contender for our list of the best mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush will ensure an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.

The X40 Ultra vacuums well, removing both fine and large debris. It is equally effective on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned the dirtiest areas well, avoiding tangled pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.

Its navigation system is nimble, navigating small spaces and negotiating stairways without skipping a step. It can move from one room to the next without needing to reverse the direction. This is useful for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a wide space over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

The app is streamlined, intuitive interface that should be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also adjust suction power, mop setting, and view 2D and 3-D maps. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll require a stable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

A robot vacuum does a great job of picking up dirt and debris, but it can't always get every last piece of dust. It's essential to clean your home often, at least once a week. The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves cost by eliminating mopping functions and using a lower-cost plastic body.

The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping machines we've ever seen at this price, despite not being able to clean your floor. It's got a powerful suction power of 5500Pa and an automatic emptying system, which means you don't need to manually empty the bin every time. It also features a smart app that lets you select your floor's type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system to allow hands-free operation.

Its mops are also impressive, with 2700Pa of power that can tackle dirt, dust and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested that did not have a problem with high-pile area rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not handle kitty litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising, since it does NOT include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.

5. K10 Plus

K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we have tested. It also utilizes a unique system to map your home. This will allow it to enter places that other vacuums are unable to reach. It also collects dust in a bigger dustbin which means you need to empty it less often. Additionally, it has washable filters, which reduces the cost of using the device. The robot vacuum best is able to detect carpets, and increase suction when needed. The app allows you to mark areas you want to stay clear of and is a great feature.
