It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competition and it doesn't close tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and it can be able to fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It scored high in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to carry and put in a trunk for your car. It also offers the option of reclining in multiple positions and an adult cup holder. Other key features include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels and two large hanging storage bags.

It did better in our push and turn test than a lot of the other strollers we tested, but it is still difficult to maneuver over uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage, and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have larger sunshades.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to put together with an average manual and all of the components required tools. However, it's missing some essential features that we believe you should consider non-negotiable for a double stroller for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The front wheels can to be locked in a forward position or rotate. This is useful in rough terrain. On our walk on the stony path, we let them move and it performed well although it did seem a little bumpier than others in our test.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2

Baby Jogger is famous for their all-terrain, 3-wheeler Jogging pushchairs, however they also offer a great assortment of strollers with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is simple to fold and can fit in the trunk of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It's a little heavier than other strollers we tested but the wheels are a rubber composite so it feels well-made and sturdy. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children as well as a shopping bag and other things.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods with pull-down sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are sturdy and waterproof, in contrast to other prams hoods which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.
