How to Repair Bifold Door Top Roller Guide

If your repair bifold door top pivot door is squeaking then it's likely that they need some maintenance. It is possible that you need to clean and lubricate them or adjust them. The problem may be caused by loose screws on the top pivot or the top guide roller.

Take the door off

It may appear complicated and difficult to install a set of bifold internal doors, but for DIYers with some experience it's actually a breeze. The frame is not the problem however getting the doors to close and fold smoothly is. Because bifold doors are intricate machines, they could require some 'tuning' to continue functioning correctly. It could be as easy as tightening a screw, or as complex as removing and replacing the pivot pin or roller.

Most times you can fix these issues by making a few basic adjustments without removing the doors. You may find that your doors are sagging or scraping the floor, or they are jumping out of their tracks. It's easy to fix these problems. Remove the Bottom Pivot

Bifold doors can be an attractive feature for a home, but they may need to be tweaked or adjusted to keep them in good condition.
