Car Seat Buggy 2 in 1 - Combos That Are Easy to Use

Certain models are difficult to attach or remove from the base, however. The Doona Combo requires a two step attachment process, and straps that cover the bottom portion of the infant carrier. It may be tempting to skip these steps, but this could lead to unsafe results.

Some models are more difficult to fold or store than others, which makes them less convenient. The Graco FastAction 3-in-1 Car Seat Stroller, for instance, is difficult to fold due to its huge dimensions and heavy frame. Some testers also find the canopy of this model to be unsatisfactory. However the Britax Parkway Click and Go Combo is very easy to fold using the pull of a lever and a snap of the button. This model is a fantastic choice for parents who want to use their car seat in other people's cars, as it can be easily detached from the base.

Easy to Fold

It should be easy to unfold and fold the car seat, whether you're storing it inside your trunk or a closet. The best combinations we've tested fold easily with one hand and are durable enough to use on long walks. They're also easy to maneuver, gliding smoothly over bumps and uneven surfaces. Certain combos are only attached and detached by straps. This could feel like a second step, and can make it more difficult prams for active parents parents to secure their child's car seat properly.

Easy to Assemble

Some stroller and car seat combinations can be difficult to put together. We found that the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo was one of the easiest to put together, and it even includes a handy quick-start guide that makes putting this travel system together easy. Other models we tested like the UPPAbaby Minu, UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule Urban Glide 2 in 1 pram and pushchair, and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also relatively easy to put together. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo, on the other hand is a bit difficult to put together. It requires two steps connecting the lower anchors and using straps that protect the bottom of the carrier. It's heavy, which means it requires two people to secure the carrier into the base, and then to remove it.

In our tests we took about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 together, which is quite rapid when you consider the amount of time is saved by not having to remove the pieces. The toddler seat can be put together and removed with ease on most of these models.
