"A trip to Qatar: A shopping mall that feels like a palace"

Traveling in Qatar.
I went to a mall.
Among the many huge malls, the hotel staff recommended this one, Vendome Mall.
I was surprised.
What is this?
Not only is it on a completely different scale, but it's like a European palace, it's just incredible.
The investment amount is a whopping 148.75 billion yen!!
I was actually planning to go to this mall. Viaggio Mall ↓
It has the highest Google Maps rating, and I wanted to see the wastefulness of Casino City, with a canal inside the mall.
And the palace mall is this ↓
...It's in the coffee shop category, so you won't find it even if you search for it.
The official name is Place Vendome, and it seems that the hotels and other facilities are located there, and the shopping mall is just one corner of it.
It doesn't fit on my smartphone screen at all.
It's so beautiful at night again.
The mall's tenants include famous brands (from Hermes to Vuitton and so on), as well as ZARA.
Basically, there's probably no tenant that doesn't exist here, there's everything.
There are apparently 400 stores in total.
It's only been open for a year.
It seems like they're not thinking about profit.
I've come to love Middle Eastern countries because they don't skimp.
It's difficult to move around the mall so you use a cart.
There's no way Japan could have a mall like this.
I'd say Doha or Dubai are the only places in the world that have this kind of feel.
Nice restaurant.
Lebanese food, I think, at Yasmin Place.
So H&M has a home here.
They had a wide selection of modern items.
The clothes are so cheap, but the interior isn't that cheap, it's just okay.
I always stop by Massimo.
Massimo stores all over the world are all black, but the one in Doha is all white.
Maybe black doesn't have a very good impression in the Middle East. There were a lot of white tenants.
I thought I'd buy a bracelet.
It was about 60 euros on the app. About 9,000 yen.
But in Doha it was about 13,000 yen.
It was quite expensive so I gave up.
Not only European apparel but also American.
I don't buy Anthropologie but sometimes I go there in California.
It seems reasonably priced, but 8,000 yen is not bad.
This Marks and Spencer store is quite large.
Oh yeah, there was also Monoprix.
It was much bigger than the store I went to yesterday.
Probably the flagship store.
There were so many snacks alone.
There was also another potato chip corner.
This is the sauce from the famous Nando's in Africa.
Ah, I wanted to buy it.
A store like Les for Less.
Might be good for treasure hunting.
Daiso is about 270 yen.
"Dave's Hot Chicken" is a popular chicken restaurant in L.A.
I tried some.
Apparently it's popular for its spicy flavor and tender meat.
It's a popular restaurant here too.
I thought it was delicious, but I don't think I'll be going back.
The Palace Mall was a lot of fun, with many brands and stores that haven't yet made it to Japan. There was plenty to see.
It seemed a bit pricey so I didn't buy anything, but it was fun nonetheless.
Wow, I walked a lot.
Thanks to that, I walked 25,000 steps that day.
