    Hello, this is Misa-chan.

    My family's S2000.

Because it's an early model, it's been 23 years since it was produced.

It's a fine old car (lol).

Or rather, it feels like time has passed before I realized it.

It's been about 5 years since I started driving it.

I've been interested in it since it was first released.

But at that time, 3.5 million yen was an enormous amount of money for me (crying), so I could only watch with my fingers in my mouth.

Then about 5 years ago, I got it by chance.

    Now,

    The other day,

    Around 7 o'clock after work,

When I approached my car to go home,

the weeds behind the parking lot were lit up in a dim red light.

There was clearly something wrong because the small lights were not on.

Maybe the battery is dead! ! ?

I was a little anxious, but

the starter motor turned and the engine started,

so I went home with the brake lights on (I was very careful of the car behind me, )

When I got home and checked it out,

it seems that there is an on/off switch for the lamp at the base of the brake pedal, and the plastic stopper attached to it has rotted away with age

so the switch has stopped working

It's really hot during the day, so I checked it in the evening

The brake pedal is on the left and the accelerator pedal is on the right↓

The circled part is the tip of the switch

There is a hole in the stay extending from the black brake pedal below

There should be a plastic part attached here

When you release the brake, pressing this switch turns off the lamp

But the part that should be there is missing

It's fine. When I looked, I saw the remains of shattered parts scattered all over the floor (lol)

And this was a temporary fix

I attached M6 bolts and nuts to raise it up

However, if it's metal, the switch will wear out, so it's safer to replace it with a genuine part as soon as possible

(So I immediately asked a nearby car shop to order the part
