World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets to give an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

upgrade item components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Item Upgrader Kit Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A suffix or prefix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions using fewer Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be obtained by purchasing them in the cash shop or Item Upgrader Kit by obtaining them from enemies when upgrading other equipment.

Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher tier version of an item will be dropped in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their gear even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved following an update.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive, and it is possible that the item will eventually become obsolete or even break when the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the chances of failure, and a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

In the endgame you'll often discover that the best way to enhance your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and they provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes much faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced with no restrictions are the most popular. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs which you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Depending on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is best to put Glyphs in the most important places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system for items lets players increase the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components inside them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item level upgrade is assigned an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items may be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will have its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage in that it could make the item more expensive if you do not need it.

Upgrades to items can be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens to be able to do this. This causes the item to be exchanged for a brand new one, with an initial level and a different set of bonus bonuses. This is useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it could waste a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as dolphins). This item can be upgraded multiple times, increasing the maximum roll each time by 10 increments. This item is highly valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of the non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense of the base set, while upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal as well as the required strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear that can have eight upgrades. Every time you upgrade an item upgrader kit it has a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item returning to its original state and the player having to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item does not upgrade, the amount of accumulated experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item upgrader kit also loses any bonuses it has gained like crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon gains an increase in crit chance it will be applied prior to any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the definition of the item and the value is computed every time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a typical equipment item may have five upgrades with a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For example they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to take each piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each upgrade will require an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
