1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

However, unlike the i7+ or other top rated robot vacuum rated robots we evaluated, the i3+ doesn't have a feature for avoiding obstacles, so it may be stuck on things like socks or power cords and it may have trouble traversing transitions across surfaces, such as from hardwood to rug.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including putting away any clutter or toys it might encounter. The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in iRobot's flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It has self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most significant feature is its auto-emptying bin. This will eliminate the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to map rooms so it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and it can control your robot via the app or by voice.

In our testing, the i7+ was more agile and faster than our runner-up and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surfaces kinds, including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy, though the dust bin is self-emptying which eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces recurring costs.

We were also awestruck by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot on how to start, Top Rated Robot Vacuum stop, or pause cleaning sessions, as well as to move around the room, and even vacuum a specific area. It also has a bigger dustbin, and charges more quickly.

The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for most purposes, as it has a longer battery life, the ability to change its suction power mode manually and comes with physical boundary strips, and is controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It also feels better-built and has a more powerful motor, and is able to perform better on bare floors and carpets with low pile, while providing a wider array of automation features.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a name that is seen on a variety of electronic gadgets for your home So it's no surprise that they're one of the most popular robotic vacuum and mop makers. Jet Bot AI+ has the most advanced onboard technology to navigate and avoid obstacles.

The app gives you plenty of options to customize your robotic cleaner, such as virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior modification docking frequency settings and more. It's easy to understand and user-friendly, as is the case with other Samsung devices.

In our tests during our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). It did not do well in avoiding taller items such as cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's also more expensive than some of the other models we've tested and could be a problem for some buyers.

The app allows you to customize the LED lights on the top of the vacuum with different colors, so you can easily identify the areas where it's focused or where it's gotten stuck.

The application also allows you to manually steer the robot if needed. For example my living room rug has a darkly-colored border that tends to trip up some of the other robots I've tested. However, the HRV 425BL continued to move across the border without registering it as an incline. The ability to program a weekly cleaning schedule for each week is a time-saving convenience.
