Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, also referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment provides a linear increase in a given stat.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time in order to gain an indicator of the level of the item's upgraded components. The cost of recycling a piece of equipment increases with their rarity and item level.

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade of an item can be a method to increase the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be done through a number of means that include the use of upgrade components and also upgrading an item's mark levels or rarity. Many items can also be reforged to increase their value.

You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available throughout the world as well as rewards for missions. Players can also make them. Upgrade components are the primary method to upgrade equipment. These are the items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment comes with upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain upgrade level. Some upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while others give general bonuses.

If you don't possess enough of either, the Upgrade button will say Blocked.

The upper-right corner shows the amount of upgrade components needed for an item. The cost of an upgrade increases with the level of upgrade and rarity, however it can be reduced through many different ways, such as purchasing upgrades from a vendor or trading them to other players.

Almost all weapons can be upgraded using the use of a prefix upgrade like an insignia or a rune, and a lot of them can be upgraded using a suffix upgrade. These upgrades can be used to add an adjective to the item's name, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs are a way to convey information via visuals. They are animated to grab the attention of the viewer and stimulate curiosity in the brain. The glyphs' animation mimics the body language and makes them more effective in transmitting an inter-linguistic message. Glyphs can also increase the retention of messages by creating an experience of familiarity in the brain.

Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by a specific amount. This is displayed on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This is not the actual amount at which glyphs can improve a stat, but the maximum amount by which it can increase a stat. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the product you are enchanting it to.

The majority of upgrade components installed into items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a glyph or rune you do not want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to the gear yet, you can move the item to a different piece by selecting the upgrade items Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. This will create the new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you are looking to remove a glyph from a piece of you must save it using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. This will cause the item to be destroyed in which it is installed, but you can recover the upgraded item using the glyph and its fragments, therefore, it shouldn't be considered as a loss.

A glyph added to an item could cause it to become unstable, and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory once you take it down. You can also put a glyph on your equipment to give it a bonus. Deferred Damage, for example can be used to store damage and be distributed slowly to the wearer instead of all at once. This is beneficial for players who take many hits from their enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to change the affixes of equipment and weapons. They can be obtained from a variety of sources, such as mysterious boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters, or by killing bosses. Each reroll gives the player a random affix that is typically better than what they had prior upgrade items to. Reroll tokens are also a good option to reroll stats on weapons that can be upgraded to increase damage or other perks.

Items that have been rerolled will not appear in the item upgrade menu, but they still qualify to receive upgrades. If you click the "upgrade button", you can recycle these items that have been rerolled. This will alter the layout of the item's window and let up to six items to be chosen for recycling. Recycling an item adds a small amount of points to its level gauge. The amount is determined by the rarity of the item and its own level, so items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower-level ones.

In addition to tokens for rerolls, players can use Star Remnants and Reroll Tokens to roll the traits of a weapon in an upgraded unit. Rerolls roll a percentage chance of a weapon's traits. If it rolls higher, then the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower the weapon is left as it was. Weapons can be rerolled up to three times.

Rerolling is a great way to upgrade an item. However, players must be aware that the total ilvl will be diminished by the number of that it took to reroll it to the final ilvl. This is evident on Diadems and Rings, since they have no other options to raise the ilvl.

Players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It would be fairer to let people pay for it with money or food items, which will allow players to make changes to their builds without spending too much time. The developers aren't planning to introduce paid rerolls at this stage of the game's development. Instead, they're planning to include an ability to change races in the future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to increase the level of an upgrade for an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade that increases the upgrade value of a given stat. The second option is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which boosts the damage or healing of an individual stat. Finally there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to an upgrade type. After this, the new item will keep its iLevel but it will be upgraded with the effects of the upgraded item type.
