Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt) and wet messes (spills, staining) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also help save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Find models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time with the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. The mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum robotic cleaner and mop comes with four power settings, a range of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.

For example, you can opt for the robot to do a deep clean in the kitchen and living rooms but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that the robot tends to crash into walls and objects at a high speed. However looking at the cleaning history on the app will show you exactly what the robot vacuum best has accomplished, where it's going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

The docking station comes with an LCD display that indicates the time when maintenance is required, such as emptying debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being able to operate for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship best robot cleaner mop and vacuum, is the newest version. It's not like the model from last year this one has an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to pick up finer hairs and robot vacuum and mop other debris other robotic cleaner and mop cleaners could miss.

This Roborock model, just like the other two I tried, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it get around obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without skipping a beat.

This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is striking and has only three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-refilling.

The only negative I found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to remove the mount for washing manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these through the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its intelligent design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.

The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first to feature 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum cleans up dry mess, including pet hair and dust. It also comes with a top-quality mop that makes hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.

Another notable characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to reach under furniture with a low profile, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice addition that assists the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by the frequent back-and-forth movement.

Contrary to other robots which solely focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming at the same time or individually. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is user-friendly and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to clean and has many convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It will also tell you the moment when the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive on the market and comes with a lot of extra features that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and other small dirt particles and also pick up spills and wet spots.

The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is an excellent feature because it prevents the growth of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There's a plethora of settings available that include the ability to schedule cleaning robot mop and vacuum and alter a variety of preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options for customising your cleaning routine. It also offers several functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, with metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing but it's not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
