It's smaller than other models on this list, making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways with only one motion. Its suction motor of 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in difficult corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is easy to install, and it works well. However should you purchase this vacuum solely to mop it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It's crucial to remember that it carries regular costs, such as mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hours, and the mop pads must be changed every three month.

This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent rating on Amazon and includes a broad array of physical automation features. These include the power button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that sends it back to its base station after completing its cleaning session. The Matrix Plus robot Vacuums That mop vacuum is a two-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes a microfiber pad. It's a little old-fashioned to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming, but it does mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best robotic mop and vacuum feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture carpets, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting pet hair. It was able to collect an enormous amount of hair our cats shed, and even found its way into the nooks and crannies of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some nice jingles that indicated when it was beginning or finished its work.

The biggest flaws were its lack of sophistication and the necessity to change out the modules whenever switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't keep multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can perform both vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock, which doubles as a charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a cleaning sink and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.

The base has a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot vacuum cleaner, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Press two of the buttons to toggle the child lock, which is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you free it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert on its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that the mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, [Redirect-302] thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxy models.
