Both robots are adept at picking up surface debris on hard floors and carpets, and they're excellent in getting around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home, which help the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a manner that maximizes efficiency. However, unlike the i7+ and other top rated robots we tested the i3+ doesn't have any obstacle-avoidance features which means it can get stuck on things such as socks or power cords, and may have issues traversing transitions across surfaces like from hardwood to carpet.

iRobot recommends clearing areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including getting rid of any clutter or toys it may come across. The i7+ is quicker and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. Its biggest advantage over the eufy the dust bin is self-emptying which eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces the cost of maintenance.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot on how to start or stop cleaning sessions and also to move around the room and even vacuum a specific area. Connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. After connecting we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This tiny Dyson model is an all-sports car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in the majority of homes, but it is also compact enough to fit on a coffee table or bookcase.

The V10 is powered by a 7-cell energy-dense Lithium-ion battery that can provide energy that lasts for 60 minutes. In our tests in our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ performed well on hard floors, and it cleaned up 86 percent of dog hair (on carpet). It didn't do very well in avoiding taller items like cords or socks.
