The Best robot vacuums that mop Hoover

The best robot hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention. It leaves your floors spotless. Its low cost and top-of-the-line functions (such as dirt detectors) are both positives.

Both the Q5 and Q7 Max Series get very excellent scores in our floor tests that test for bare floors and are particularly effective at cleaning pet hair. However, they do have a few flaws, however, that prevent them from being our top option. For one, the Q5's navigation doesn't have AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to get caught up in socks and best robot hoover shoes and couldn't navigate tightly packed rooms very efficiently in our tests. It doesn't also have a camera to see around corners.

It's still a good deal, especially if your office or home has a lot of bare flooring and you're looking to save money. It's also quiet and works while you are at work or school. It doesn't have the edge-to-edge floor vacuuming available in the more expensive iRobot Roomba X30. It's also less effective at mopping, as it relies on disposable wet wipes that don't hold on very well and can't handle dried-on debris. The Q5 has self-emptying docks, however. If you're required to mop, the mopping pad can be changed for a wet one in minutes.

2. IRobot Roomba

The iRobot Roomba X30 is a compact, sleek vacuum cleaner that can mop floors. Its intelligent cleaning maps as well as quick navigation make it easy to clean and effective in tackling larger particles such as pet hair. It also features self-emptying dustbins with powerful suction and support for virtual boundaries. It's the most efficient robot hoover for carpets, though it's not as effective as some rivals in deep cleaning.

This high-performance vacuum and mops utilizes sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time and ensure better cleaning. You can alter its cleaning schedule and customize zones with the well-designed app. Its battery life is average in comparison to other models.

You can instruct the X30 Ultra to remove its mops and to extend them when in a carpeted area to prevent cross-contamination. The flex arm can be used to reach under furniture with low levels and along baseboards. It's not as efficient on the washboard as our other Editors' Choice Picks, the Ecovacs Ozmo N8Pro+ and the iRobot Combo j9+.

During testing, X30 Ultra was the most efficient robot vacuum/mop which could clean an entire home with just 66 percent of its battery remaining. It did a good cleaning job on various floors and rooms with different kinds of flooring, including certain area rugs. Its obstacle detection was superb, and it avoided fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles of cables.

It's more expensive than the iRobot Combo v9+ and iRobot Roomba j9+, however it offers superior suction, a built-in dust bin that automatically empties into its base, and it supports voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can also clean the floor even after it vacuums. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robotic vacuum/mop combos.

3. IRobot Roomba X40

With an elegant circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competition's boxes this mop and robot vacuum best vacuum is among the most attractive designs in our reviews. The newest model from iRobot happens to be its smartest, with advanced features including Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can wash its own mop pads).

It's also the only robotic vacuum or mop that scored the perfect 10/10 out of 10 in our evaluations. This is due to a combination modern sensors, including a restructured light system, camera, and a variety of lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot vacuum cleaner we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted a suction of 12,000Pa and self-cleaning mop mops.

The X40 is, like the other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It has an easy mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only real drawback is that it's still quite a noisy unit, which can be problematic if you run it in the morning prior to work or at night as you try to sleep.

It's also somewhat expensive, though it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra both of which are equally powerful and better-looking. If you're willing to put up some more volume and some additional cost it's a capable two-in-one that should please almost everyone.

4. iRobot Roomba L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop, with a lot of advanced features that will let you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device that is similar to Ecovacs the top of the line X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It has a multifunction dock which automatically empty the vacuum's bin and fills up the water tank, and washes and dries mop pads.

The smart robot uses LIDAR and structured lighting to create floor plans and spot obstacles. It navigates more intelligently than its top competitors. It also has a camera mounted on the front to detect hazards in real-time but this was not reliable in our tests and was occasionally confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also has an option called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", which regulates the power of the vacuum and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for various areas of the house depending on how dirty these areas are.

If you own a larger home, it is worth choosing a model that has spot or zone cleaning mode. This allows you to inform the robot of which area of your home needs to be cleaned using the app or voice command. If you have lots of furniture, a stairway mode is also a good option. For busy families, a recharge function and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to continue from where it left off can be extremely useful.

5. iRobot Roomba RX3

The RX3 is a more efficient cleaner than you might expect from its price tag. It is a great job vacuuming, removing 55% of the debris that was found in our tests (it was second only to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mopses with one pad, which uses an oscillating motion that cleans better than most of the other mop cleaners for robots we've tried. It's also self-sufficient with a fully-featured application, and a self emptying, washable base.

The iRobot app is designed to guide you through the mapping process that collects data on your floorplan and any "no go" areas that you have marked on the map. It can be used to make cleaning schedules, plan a spot clean or to prioritize your most filthy rooms for better performance. The app also provides access to many features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.

Its shape is more rectangular than most other robot vacuums, meaning it can reach corners and underneath furniture more easily. It also has strong 8,000 Pascal suction and combs with intelligent technology for hair of pets. You can also set up a spot clean that scours a specific area.

The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek and cheaper alternative to the iRobot Roomba. It has a more attractive style, much like Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are shaped like cute little eyes. It does a good job vacuuming, but it is more susceptible to getting caught on low thresholds and is more noisy than the other top robotic vacuums we've tested. It also has a less user-friendly app and a small base station that doesn't double as a bin for emptying.
