It is possible to lower the side panel itself but this is not recommended, because it increases the chance that your baby will fall out of the cot. A gentle incline option helps to ease colic and reflux and colic, while the zip-down side allows you to feed or comfort your baby at night.

The kit for conversion to cot is also well-designed, with clear instructions. It includes everything you need. It took us about an hour to put together and was relatively simple. The only downside was the lack of captions written on some of the pictures which made it difficult to follow certain steps.
