Top Rated Robot Vacuums

A robot vacuum can keep your floors tidy enough to decrease the frequency of hoovering manually. Find one that has good navigation, can sweep corners and stairs, and has a large dust bin that has to be emptied only every few times.

Both robots do well picking up surface debris off carpets and hard floors and they are very good in getting around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates a smart map of your home to help the i3+ navigate and clean up efficiently. However, unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots that we test the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features and therefore it could be stuck on things like socks or power cords, and it may have trouble navigating across surface transitions like from hardwood to rug.

iRobot recommends you clear out areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include clearing out any clutter or toys it might encounter. Also, keep the filters and dust bin clear to avoid getting blocked. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning from where it left off. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of constant usage. It takes about three hours to charge.

2. Roomba by iRobot

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in iRobot's flagship line, and it has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging, self-navigating and the most crucial feature of all -- it has an auto-emptying dustbin, which eliminates one of the primary sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba i7+ is able to remember up to 10 floor plans and their names with Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that lets it create maps of rooms so that it can clean them more efficiently. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and direct your cheap robot vacuum by voice or through the app.

In our testing the i7+ was more agile and faster than our top choice and the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surfaces kinds, including carpeting. Its main advantage over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin, which eliminates a major source of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning session and move around the room and sweep a specific space. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was easy and easy with the iRobot Home app. Once connected, we were able to give the i7+ voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and monitoring performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

This means that it may get stuck on things like phone cords and low furniture, and it often is power-depleted before returning to its base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694 because it has fewer parts that require regular cleaning, comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, incurs lower costs for recurring expenses and is more sophisticated in its automation capabilities and is better able to maneuver its own. It also has a bigger dustbin and charges faster.

The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for a variety of reasons, since it has a longer battery life, can change its suction power mode manually, comes with physical boundary strips, and is controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It is also more robust, has a more powerful motor, and can perform better on low-pile and bare floors.

It's also more expensive than the other models we've tested and this could be a deterrent for certain shoppers.

Unlike other robotic vacuums, which are designed for both hard floors and carpets, Black and Decker robots are designed specifically for hard floors.
