If you're on a budget and don't need a stroller that can double into a car seat carrier The Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop friendly.

It's also a breeze to push and feels sturdy when you're navigating kerbs and woodland paths. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the most lightweight stroller, both for city dwellers as well for jet-setters. This is thanks to its super nimble maneuverability and fold that fits into the overhead baggage of an aircraft. This latest version features independent suspension on all 4 wheels made of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to effortlessly traverse all terrains and types'.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who are looking for a versatile stroller wagon. The Evenflo Pivot Xplore can be converted from a stroller to the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then decide which one is the best single stroller 2024 fit for their adventure. The wagon can hold one or two kids from 6 months to 5 years, and it comes with a large storage basket for everything you require on the go.

The Xplore also has two canopies that turn from the front to the back, offering ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This might not be suitable for long journeys or napping.

The frame of the Xplore feels sturdy and solid however it doesn't have as much flex as some of the other wagons we have tested. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold, and it's not able to lock tight after folding. It is easy to move however, and it can fit through doors with a width of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents who want an affordable, second-hand travel stroller. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers and Multiples test for weight and size folded, which means it's very lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to move into a car trunk or closet. It also features a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as cup holders for the parent. Other features worth mentioning include two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling and 360-degree front wheels that absorb shock.

It performed better in our push and turn test than a lot of the strollers we tested, but it is nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the smallest strollers we test. They only cover the top and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a significantly larger canopy.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual and all of the components required tools. However, it is missing certain essential features we believe it is important to consider as non-negotiable features in a double stroller, for example, a larger basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the newest model in Maxi-Cosi's range of pushchairs and is described as an urban travel system. It is designed to take infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years old, and can be converted between a carrycot and seat in just only a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a car-base that stays in the car and a reversible car seat.

The seat can be reclined using one hand and the large shopping basket makes it simple for parents to get their child in and out. Despite being a small pushchair single, it was able to handle the everyday bumps well and was able to pass through doorways without fuss.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to rotate which can be helpful when crossing rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate while walking along a stony path. It handled the situation well, though it did seem to be a bit bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its three-wheeled, all-terrain jogging strollers. However, they also manufacture a vast range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. City Tour 2 is their most well-known model. It is simple to fold and fits in the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It is heavier than the other strollers we've tried, but because it has rubber composite wheels it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain and it's also a breeze to lift even with two children and shopping bags.

Both the seat and carrycot have hoods that are able to be lower to reveal the UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other prams hoods which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It doesn't have a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to hold a change bag or plenty of food. You can also connect it with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies as big as 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to take a stroller on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of many parents when it first came out. It's an aluminium framed stroller that will be with you throughout your baby's first years and beyond. It is a standout model with many unique features, like the ability of the seat to flip between the parent and the world and a huge UPF50+ canopy with an eye shade that flips out, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are tough and foam-filled which minimises punctures. The chassis is equipped with built-in suspension which takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It folds automatically and locks in just four steps. It can also stand and be trolleyed for easier transport in the boot of your car or down the stairs at home. It also comes with a travel system equipped with the option to add a car seat and a carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes are easy to use with single buggy for sale action, colour coded and flip-flop friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget pushchair is simple to operate and features a great dual suspension. It folds with one hand and comes with a convenient carrying strap. It's also very light and durable. The seat can be reclined in various positions. It also comes with a built-in double breathable mattress that is suitable for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat features two extra-large fixed or flip-out sun visors and both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro and could wake up napping babies.

The Duet is a side-by-side stroller and can be set up to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg maximum per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and even works with some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be positioned to face each other or be turned around to face parents, theoretically decreasing sibling rivalries over who gets to sit with mom and dad. It comes with a huge tray for gears, a bottle holder and snack trays. It also has an automated frame lock and a compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger designed for parents who want to keep active. It is one of the lightest strollers that you can purchase for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features, such as a 5-point safety harness as well as a wrist safety strap. It also comes with a twist hand brake which is different from the lever type found on competing models.

The seat is padded and provides plenty of space to sit. However, the seat depth is smaller than that of other runners (it's just 10 inches deep") The storage bin is secured with a zipper that keeps things secure. It can hold up to 10lbs that is enough for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets or infant car seats as it comes, but you can use it from day one by purchasing adapters for the majority of seats made by brands like BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It is easy to fold and put together in just 5-10 minutes with no tools. The manual is easy-to-understand and includes multiple languages.
