World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also increase bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons, and trinkets to give an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment with a slot. The item Upgrader mod must be upgraded to blue before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment as well as the items that are not ascending back. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for example, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than are required to achieve the same upgrade level through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher tier version of an item will be revealed during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will increase after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it is likely that the item will become obsolete, or even break, in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within their radius and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game you'll find that the best way to improve your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes much faster.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the various Glyphs and there are some rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs will boost all nodes that are connected to them, which is why it is best to place Glyphs in the most important locations on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item. Once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When the player upgrades an item it is replaced by a new item of the same kind. The same armor will receive an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don't need it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This is a good idea but it should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled multiple times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). The item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is very valuable in PvP. A well-rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an item, it is given a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the farther you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will result in the item upgrader mod reverting to its original state, requiring the player to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned like the chance to crit, attack damage, or other effects (such as an increase in healing over time or reloading speed). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance that it will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its base value. For example an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For example they may require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to carry every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
